Teddy Riley is about to be honored in the most beautiful, well-deserved way.
Hailing from Harlem, the legendary singer, songwriter, producer, and musician will now get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.Teddy Riley has been dubbed the King of New Jack Swing, creating a whole genre after the success of his “New Jack Swing” with rap group Wreckx-N-Effect in 1989.
Having worked with the likes of The Jacksons, The Winans, Guy, Big Daddy Kane and of course Bobby Brown, Teddy Riley also formed R&B group Blackstreet, responsible for the timeless record “No Diggity” featuring Dr. Dre and Queen Pen back in 1996.
The ceremony for Teddy is slated to take place on Thursday in broad daylight on Hollywood Blvd, hosted by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Teddy Riley will be honored as the 2,680th star for his outstanding achievements in the category of Recording.
