Nigerian singer-songwriter Fireboy DML has just landed what we imagine to be a dream of many young gamers and football fans across the world. Every time one of his friends plays EA Sports’ latest installment of the FIFA franchise, they’ll be hearing his hit single “Scatter,” as its earned its spot on the coveted gaming soundtrack.

The career highlight comes through negotiations by EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL. Even without the gaming giant backing, “Scatter” has amassed millions of streams since its release on his debut album Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps.

FIFA 21 will have two soundtracks. Fireboy DML is featured on the main in-game soundtrack, while the additional Volta soundtrack (which will play when using the game’s Volta feature) will also include Burna Boy‘s “Location,” Rema‘s summer track “Beamer (Bad Boys),” and Ms Banks.

FIFA 21 is set for worldwide launch on October 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
